Venkat Mattela, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mattela has over 25 years of engineering and management experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Redpine, Mr. Mattela was at Network Media Platforms Group of Analog Devices as Director and was responsible for the product, strategy and business development for media wireless connectivity solutions (WLAN, WMAN). He also led the VLSI development from concept engineering to release of multiple industry leading networking silicon products resulting in a multi-million dollar product line. Prior to joining ADI, Mr. Mattela was at Infineon Technologies as Director and was responsible for micro-architecture and design of TriCore MCU-DSP processor. He led the team to take the architecture to multiple silicon implementations. Mr. Mattela started his career at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India in January 1983 and held various engineering positions at LSI Logic, LMSI and CMC Ltd. Mr. Mattela has a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India and holds 11 US patents.

Kalpana Atluri, President

Ms. Atluri has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to founding Redpine Signals, Ms. Atluri founded Elite Design Systems, a provider of ASIC design consulting services. Ms. Atluri has built the founding team and helped create the strategy for the company. She manages the finance and operations in the US and India. Ms. Atluri held various engineering positions at Synopsys Inc, Computer Vision Laboratories Ltd., CMC Ltd., and Integrated Data Systems. Ms. Atluri holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru technological University, India.

 

Mallik Reddy, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development

Mr. Reddy is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years of management and engineering experience. Mr. Reddy has been integrally involved in the Redpine Signals vision, strategy, and leadership and has a very successful track record of founding and building multi-national technology companies. Immediately prior to joining Redpine Signals, Mr. Reddy founded Netcube Systems, a leading provider of technology consulting services for a broad spectrum of Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to that he has held key management and engineering positions in Pelican, Softec, Sybase, SUN, Oracle, GTE and AC Nielsen. Mr. Reddy holds MS in Computer Science from University of Florida.

Dhiraj Sogani, General Manager and Sr. Vice President, System Business Unit

Mr. Sogani has over 18 years of experience in the semiconductor, system and design automation industries. In his current role at Redpine, he has the worldwide responsibility for the wireless system business unit including sales, marketing, operations and system engineering. Mr. Sogani joined Redpine from Wi2Wi, a wireless subsystem provider, where he served as the General Manager & Sr. Vice President and successfully launched multiple products in WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS markets. Prior to joining Wi2Wi, Mr. Sogani co-founded and served as VP of Engineering and Marketing at ICONIC Technologies, a System-in-Package company that developed products in the data communication and networking market segments. Mr. Sogani has also served as Vice President of Product Marketing and Applications for Sequence Design, Inc. and has held senior level marketing and engineering positions with Sapphire Design and Duet Technologies. Mr. Sogani holds a BSEE from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, an MBA from Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University and a Certificate in Marketing from University of California,Berkeley.

Kenneth P. Lisiak, Vice-President, Operations

Most recently, as External Foundry Director for Analog Devices Inc, Dr. Lisiak was responsible for formulating and implementing strategies for all aspects of outsourced wafer manufacturing management, including vendor selection, technology transfer and qualification, design support, pricing, production support, wafer quality, and yield improvement. Prior to that, Dr. Lisiak was responsible for managing ADI’s internal CMOS facility including process development, yield enhancement, ESD and circuit design models, and fab operations. Previously, Dr. Lisiak had been Vice -President of Engineering and Wafer Fabrication for Theta-J Corporation, including all aspects of product and process development and wafer manufacturing. Dr. Lisiak has 35 years experience in device technology, process technology and wafer manufacturing covering CMOS and BICMOS IC’s, discrete power MOS devices, imagers, and MEMs. Dr. Lisiak holds MS and PhD degress from Carnegie Mellon University and a BSEE from Marquette University.

Ramesh Duvvuru, Vice President, Engineering;

Mr. Duvvuru has more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor industry with a proven engineering track record of developing advanced silicon architectures for media and networking markets. Prior to joining Redpine, Mr. Duvvuru co-founded and served as VP of engineering at Sight Semi Inc, a provider of wire speed content inspection silicon for internet traffic. Mr. Duvvuru also held management positions at MediaPhy and National Semi conductor where he led design teams in the development of low power and high performance ASICs for Digital Video Broadcast and Graphics controllers. He is also a key contributor to the design and architecture of Ericsson SmartEdge ASIC technology for high speed routers. Mr. Duvvuru received his M.S.C.E from Wayne State University, USA and named inventor in 4 U.S patents.

Narasimhan Venkatesh, Senior Vice President, Advanced Technologies

Mr. Venkatesh has over 24 years of engineering and management experience in wireless system design, telecommunications, optical networking and avionics. Mr. Venkatesh is a key wireless technologist and champions the universal integration of wireless into embedded systems. His responsibilities include leading the development of wireless systems at Redpine's development center in Hyderabad, and their application into diverse industry areas. Prior to joining Redpine Signals, Mr. Venkatesh was General Manager of Paxonet Communications. Prior to that, he was Deputy Manager in the avionics research unit of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Mr. Venkatesh holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.

Chandra Sekhar Abburi, Senior Vice President, Systems and Software

Mr. Abburi has over 23 years of experience in a range of areas including, product development, management, and customer support. He manages systems and software engineering and was instrumental in the creation of Redpine Signals system lab for the validation wireless systems. Prior to Redpine Signals, Mr. Abburi led the engineering group of Exaband in the development of a VOIP product for their internet-based unified messaging system. Mr. Abburi possesses a Masters degree in Advanced Electronics from JNTU, Hyderabad, India.
