The RS-SE-501 Secure Circuit
Breaker System enables control of in-home
appliances using a secure wireless link.
It is a fully self contained circuit breaker
system with an integrated IEEE 802.11
bgn Wi-Fi sub-system, contactors, AC-DC
transformer, microcontroller, power management
unit and built-in antenna along with an
option to connect an external antenna.
This system retains the existing electro-mechanical
circuit breaker functionality for over-current
protection and provides a manual overrid
of the Wi-Fi based control. In addition
to the WLAN functionality with WPA2 security,
this system also implements IPSec and
a network stack that terminates TCP/IP
and UDP connections with IPv6 capability.
This system can be configured through
UART or through wireless.
