GPS based Personal Navigation Devices (PND’s) today go beyond just providing location services to people and vehicles on the move. As multi-purpose devices, they provide accurate location in a large number of location scenarios – including inside large malls and factories, inside vehicles, in urban canyons, apart from all outdoor locations, around the world, enabling a host of location based services for travel, shopping, and recreation applications. High accuracy in indoor and other difficult scenarios require advanced processing techniques – such as assisted GPS and remote server based ephemeris prediction. These devices require a fast, inexpensive, and robust connectivity to enterprise and wide-area networks that can be ideally provided by RS9110-N-11-01. This ultra-low power module with SDIO and SPI host interfaces enables easy integration into the PND platform.
